Marketers, pay attention to the seasonality of your revenue. You’ll notice patterns that can help you make decisions that you wouldn’t catch otherwise.
For example, look at the last two years.
🟢 Green is 2025
🔵 Blue is 2024.

Notice how they both dropped in February, and August, but spiked in July and September?
I’ve used the same billing portal for 18 years so I can see a year-for-year trendline for any year, and this similar patterns happens more often than not.
Sometimes it’s more dramatic, like this July when we signed a client worth nearly half a million.
I don’t take the spikes for granted and spend more, but I do hedge against the down months and preserve cash and spend less around December and January since historically we have a decrease in February, then it stays neutral through May or June.
This has allowed me to strategize and cash flow better, as well as adjust staff for client headcount.
