SEO Client-Types to Avoid

There are exceptions, and some of our best clients fall in these “no” categories.  But the vast majority have proven time and time again as client-types that are either drama or get in their own way.

  • 🛑 No new business owner: Too sensitive, scared, risk adverse
  • 🛑 No “Business Baby Syndrome:”  They can’t be overly emotional about their business
  • 🛑 No Coaches/Marketers: They know it all, and want someone to boss around, not do the work
  • 🛑 No software or VC: VC always want instant results for an ROI on the capital. And no matter how well and often they’re reminded, the become assholes in a short period.  Software people are either VC backed or wish they were, so it’s the same casualty.

Also avoid anyone who is an “SEO expert,” constantly micro-managing you, asking why we’re not doing it their way, or endlessly recommending the latest tool and corner-cutting idea they got from AI or Reddit.
